Switch accounts fast

Most of what you do in the app happens on one account at a time — Activity shows that account’s transactions, and the balance at the top is that account’s balance. When you keep several accounts (a card, a cash wallet, an account in another currency), you end up switching between them all day.

There are two ways to switch. The quick one is at the bottom of the screen, where your thumb already is.

  1. Open Activity from the bottom bar.
  2. Tap Activity a second time — the tab you’re already on.
  3. Pick an account from the Switch account sheet that slides up.

If you’re coming from Budget or Receipts, the first tap just takes you to Activity; tap it once more and the switcher opens. When you’re already on Activity it feels like a double-tap.

Every account you have, in one list:

  • The bank’s logo, the account’s name, and its type and currency underneath — for example Checking · EUR.
  • The account’s balance in its own currency. Nothing here is converted into your main currency, so what you see is what the account actually holds. A negative balance is shown in red.
  • The account you’re on right now is highlighted and has a check mark next to it.
  • Accounts you owe money on (debts and credit) come last.

Pick one and the sheet closes — Activity stays where it is and simply shows the new account’s transactions. Swipe the sheet down, or tap above it, to leave everything as it was.

The other way: the account name at the top

Section titled “The other way: the account name at the top”

The account name at the top of Activity does the same thing — tap it and the same list drops down from above. Same accounts, same balances, same result. It’s the natural one to use when you’re already looking at the top of the screen; the bottom-bar route exists so you don’t have to reach up there one-handed.

  • Only Activity does this. Tapping Budget or Receipts again does nothing — that’s on purpose, so you never open something by accident while moving between tabs.
  • Switching doesn’t take you anywhere. You stay on Activity, with whatever filter you had selected still applied.
  • Your choice sticks. The account you pick stays selected the next time you open the app.
